Opened at the beginning of 2007, the testing centre offers you a large choice of demonstration clubs with a range of brands.
Situated on the birdie practice course [l’Oiselet], at the heart of the training centre of the Fédération Française de Golf,“le coin de Raphaël” offers you the chance to be advised and guided through your equipment purchases.
From simple advice to a full fitting, we will guide you to your perfect purchase with our selection of over 350 different clubs. With the biggest brand clubs (notably Ping and Callaway, among others), and with the help of specific tools (Optifit Callaway, radar, Mizuno fitting carts, Taylor Made and Ping), Raphaël will give you personalized, pertinent advice. From beginner to pro, there are advantages for everyone.
WHAT IS A FITTING?
It is when measurements are taken in order to determine the necessary adjustments for the club or clubs that will be made afterwards.
WHY HAVE A FITTING?
It allows the player to find the clubs that are best adapted to his or her shape, allowing them to improve their trajectories and the quality of their game.
WHAT BRANDS ARE AVAILABLE?
Callaway, Cleveland, Mizuno, Cobra, Ping, Srixon, Taylor Made, Titleist, Wilson.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
€75 per session, deductible from purchases.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SESSION?
Appointments are made at Raphaël. The fitting is done in a series of steps:
Step 1
MEETING WITH THE PLAYER AND ANALYSIS OF HIS/HER BAG
Step 2
THEORETICAL ANALYSIS: MEASUREMENTS WHICH ALLOW THE LENGTH OF THE SHAFT, THE LIE, AND THE TYPE OF GRIP (MODEL AND SIZE) TO BE DETERMINED
Step 3
DYNAMIC ANALYSIS – DETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMAL LIE USING A LIE BOARD AND DIFFERENT DEMONSTRATION CLUBS
Step 4
DYNAMIC ANALYSIS – CALCULATION OF THE SPEED OF THE SWING AND ANALYSIS OF THE TRAJECTORY IN ORDER TO DETERMINE FLEXIBILITY AND SHAFT TYPE (FLEXIBILITY, FLEX POINT, WEIGHT, AND TORQUE).
